I was fortunate to begin my career at the age of 17, with a boss and business mentor who allowed me to gain hands-on experience right from the start. I assisted him with any small tasks he needed done while he allowed me to sit in on countless business meetings. I learned firsthand what it took to build and market businesses and organizations. At the age of 20, I was offered to be a director of a youth nonprofit, which I gladly accepted. In helping that nonprofit brand itself and build its donor and volunteer base, others began to ask for my help. As a result, I found myself with a handful of clients and ended up launching my own marketing agency in the DC area. I started working in business development and marketing when Angelfire, Geocities, AOL, Frontpage, Adobe GoLive, and others were market leaders. I've seen and maneuvered countless technological changes for clients with varying budgets within various industries - through the rise and decline of AOL, the birth of Google, the rise and decline of MySpace, the birth of Facebook up to the recent battle between Facebook and Apple (and helping clients maneuver through that). Now, with more than 20 years of experience building marketing programs and businesses, what I bring to the table is a depth of knowledge and personal case studies that can help a business win in ever-evolving market conditions.
